Introduced as 'a country cousin looks at the London scene', Norfolk amateur filmmaker Charles Scott takes his camera to the nation's capital, capturing the sights of 1970s London. Taking in a changing of guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Scott visits other notable London structures including the Houses of Parliament, the Horse Guards building on Whitehall, The Old Curiosity Shop, the Tower of London, Chelsea Royal Hospital, St Paul's Cathedral and the RAF Church of St Clement Danes on the Strand. The film also features visits to the window displays at Selfridges on Oxford Street, the flowering gardens of Hyde Park, and monuments such as Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square, the Fusiliers monument and the Albert Memorial. Views of London's transport systems includes a visit to Heathrow Airport, and the film concludes with views along the Thames.
