Love story. A young man out jogging meets a female jogger.
A young man (JP) goes out for a run, a one-off event inspired by the Olympic Games. He imagines himself in a race and passes a young female jogger (Lucy) in reaching for the imaginary finish line. The next time they meet in the park he is reading a book, having given up running. Lucy, who is still jogging, joins him and they talk. He confesses that it was a one-off. They agree to meet the next day as jogging partners. JP buys a track suit and goes to meet Lucy to the amusement of one of his friends, who is unaware of the assignation. After an awkward formal introduction, Lucy and JP go jogging. JP’s friend becomes aware of his infatuation. After their next jog, JP attempts to kiss Lucy, who leaves hurriedly. The next day, JP goes to their usual meeting place but she is not there. As he begins to leave, Lucy arrives. JP’s thought processes notably revealed by quotes from athletics commentaries.
