Central London, late summer, 1952. The Mall, Bond Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and the Eros statue. American and British servicemen. Horseguards Parade at Buckingham Palace. St. James's Park, Trafalgar Square including a shot down Whitehall. A statue of Shakespeare in an unidentified park. People looking at the bookshop windows in Charing Cross Road. Several shots of the books displayed in the windows - signs for C.W. Beaumont, Rare Books and Better Books. Cubs visit the Tower of London and climb on a cannon. Shots of tennis players and impromptu park cricket, bathing at Serpentine, model yachts on the Round Pond, rowing boats, a cafe and a bandstand. A sign for Eagle Steamers day cruises to Margate, Southend-on-Sea and Clacton-on-Sea. Embankment Gardens. St James's Palace. Charing Cross Road tube station (now Embankment).
