A hapless lawyer helps a nasty family chase the fortune of a rich patriarch.
Amateur filmmaker, cinema historian and railway engineer H.A.V. Bulleid uses trick photography and slapstick humour in a tale of a hapless lawyer and a fortune gone to the dogs. When Grandma - a woman with 'a big fortune and a small dog' - dies suddenly, her family call upon hapless lawyer Monty Carl O'Knight to read the will. When it emerges that Grandma has left her entire fortune to the dog, the family attempt to make the dog bite Monty, thus voiding the will. But is it possible that Grandma never actually owned the dog? And could the whole thing be a dream?
